Well well well. I officially turned 18 last December 8, a Thursday. It was just another day, as anyone would suppose. School, preliminary period examinations in Abnormal Psychology and Rizal, and yes, my humble turning of age.
When I woke, my sister was already dressed up for school and I chatted with her for a little bit. I doubt, though, if she was even hearing me. I was still trying to get myself out of bed when my dad went up to me with the Samsung Galaxy Tab! Yay me! He gave me this kiss on the forehead (which he does on very, very rare occasions) and greeted me a happy birthday. He then gave me a quick talk about the tab haha and soon went out of our room. So wala na!! Gising na gising na ako niyan! Hahaha. Minutes later, I got a call from my mom, greeting me also in all merriment! :) She went on to tell me about the importance of being thankful for all that I'm blessed with. Haaay could this day get any better. Our helper Ate Lyn greeted me also. As for my sister and brother, they didn't greet me just yet but that was just something I was completely okay with. I didn't even notice hahaha that's what I call closeness.
Dad drove me to the LRT station, as usual, and coincidentally, my Tito Rex was to ride with us that morning. At first he didn't know haha he's my ninong pa naman, but then my dad was quick to tell and so tito greeted me so very happily it made my heart skip a beat. I wanna make it a point that it was a super quick moment of profound joy. I felt the earnestness of his greeting from when he made a quick gasp for forgetting my birthday until he nicely said happy birthday. Little things matter to me okay.
I'm usually good with timing (or so I think) but today I was just such a bad-timing-girl. Ano daw? Yanna (my friend blockmate) and I saw each other in the Santolan platform. It was no surprise for me, of course, but it sure was for her! I knew something was up cos it seemed as though she was disappointed to see me so early in Santolan that time. I didn't make a big deal out of it tho cos I was too focused on getting to school early. I said I didn't wanna waste time in line for the exam permit so I made it a point to be extra early that day. She was waiting for Annj and so I ended up going ahead cos, like I said, I wanted to get the exam permit without having to compromise my time in taking the exam. Hehehe. A few more rounds of happy birthdays from people I meet along the hallway (feeling sikat) until I got in the room and awww I saw my chair with a couple of pink post-it notes on it *blush*. Annj said I should have went to school a little later cos my chair was supposed to be literally filled with pink post-its. Eh sorry naman. :)) I jokingly told them they should've let me enter the room from the front door to add more drama to the moment hahaha.
So there I got ...
- a pink personalized mini-pillow which bore my name :""""")
- a cute bag that says "Yeah! You're young!"
- brief birthday messages from people I know around the college :)
All courtesy of my girls!!!! Annj, Yanna, Sarah, Micka, Gracie and Nitz

Annj
Gracie (the late one haha)
Didn't get to take a photo with Nitz and Micka! Micka was late for the test and Nitz didn't go to school that day. Boo!
Bea kiddo, my other college beef <3
Everyone (including me) was still crazy-nervous studying for both subjects and so by the time the exam in Rizal (which was so darn easier than I had assumed, no kidding) was over, lunch time was on and I figured it would be nice to treat my blockmate friends to a simple birthday lunch. We couldn't go any farther than SM Sta Mesa cos we still got some serious exam in Ab Psych coming up in a few hours so there we were, looking for a nice place to get some lunch. Shakey's was the closest thing to okay - the place was still so peacefully unoccupied, there was this promo good for 12 persons, and I was running out of ideas where to eat at. We deliberately went away from our daily-food-intake from McDo or KFC, (yes that's our college food routine) cos we thought this was supposed to be a little bit out-of-the-usual kind of day hehe.
Leonard and Micka!
Of course that's Ryan on my right and Daniel on the other side siyempre. Last minute
That's Kharl's best friend Morado on my right!! Hahaha he got introduced to us for the first time and he was so shy about joining us for lunch cos he didn't have anyone else to accompany him anywhere else. Well, I was so damn shy too! Thanks for the gift chocolates, I appreciate them :)
And then it was time to get back to school to take the Ab Psych exam. Intense.
Before heading back to Recto (I still got classes there cos I'm irreg, remember) I managed to take more pictures with other college friends!!
Pat, Paula (the college beef), me and Bea <3

This is the chapel of our school. Ever since November 11, Micka and I (sometimes with Nitz) have always taken the time to drop by here and pray for a quick while :")
How pretty right! We've (me and Micka) been aching to bring a camera to take a shot of this beautiful Christmas setting since forever and it's such a dream come true when we finally captured this one on my birthday hahaha.
Just when I thought my day was done, I had to think again. Cos one more surprise awaits at home. Next post on that!
Thank you thank you THANK YOU everyone who'd been a part of my 'just another day on my birthday'. :) You touched my heart more than you could ever know. My words are not enough. Love you!
Just turned 18,
Blesse
