Surprise

It was not until I turned 18 that I discovered how much I HATE surprises. 

I've been bombarded with birthday texts since morning and so I decided to finally reply to them all by the time Micka and I got in the bus. But Micka kept on borrowing my phone to text Yanna about something but they won't tell me what it's about! Micka's phone went dead again, like always haha so I had to lend mine to her during the entire bus ride home! I thought maybe something connected to my birthday is going on again, but then I ignored that intuition cos

1. it was too dark for any further surprises (haha that sounded kinda wrong) 
2. I for one was too ready for bed to handle any more surprises, 
3. and it was a weekday!

Finally, I was off the bus and was walking my way towards home. It was raining pretty hard and my shoes were once again soaked in flood water. Oh dear. 

I noticed something strange about the front gate of our house. There were 2 cars parked in front of our driveway and my initial 'mental' reaction was that my dad would surely be upset about this. I continued to walk for our back gate but suddenly the front gate opened and there..... I saw the least expected face for the day. It was Mikee! With Paolo! High school friends! They were obviously as stunned as I was on seeing each others' faces in MY house on a weekday! They quickly tried to push the door close but what's the point, right?! As I entered the door I saw more of my high school friends in our living room with my dad and sister. With food and smiling faces around me and with my haggard self, a bolt from the blue it was indeed!!!!!

It was so weird to have them all gathered inside our house at such an unexpected time. Later I found out that it was Kat and Aice who'd plan everything. They contacted my college friends *insert pakapalan ng mukha here* so they could also be part of the surprise. So that was why Micka was talking to Yanna all along!

They gave me these paper-made flowers (18 roses daw) but it was such a fail haha cos they just gave it to me all at once without dancing with me or anything. Well, how thankful I was cos I didn't wanna go through all the cheesy dances :| no no no! They then showed me a banner with a huge picture of me and their birthday greetings on it. <3

I didn't know whether to take a shower or to change my clothes or to clean my feet first. Hahaha

Blindfolded effect pa! Wish Lantern! It was drizzling that time so instead of everyone of us flying our respective wish lanterns, I alone did it and made a wish!

I hate surprises because they're SO awkward

I love High School nonetheless. And I love you sissy Dianne for making extra efforts on making all this possible by coordinating with my friends. Thanks dad and mom too :)

BTW, my college friends were supposed to be here. I love them still!
