My brother turned 11 last Sept 24. It fell on a Saturday and it so happened that my best friend slash cousin Yoko was also planning to come to Manila for a dental check-up from our tita, a dentist of course. Wohooo
Julian had a simple celebration at home with Dianne and I, and the rest of our relatives. Our parents at that time were both in States, Hawaii & Illinois respectively. This was why my sister and I opted to give him a surprise gift in the form of a new cellphone! He recently lost his phone in school and we just knew that a replacement of such would be best and most useful. Cherry Mobile yung phone --- not much but HEY, that was from our very own ipon! Hehe bro was ecstatic upon seeing the phone. What an achievement on our part, right?! Although it's such a downer that he's also having a PS3 from our parents like what does that even mean??!! Haha just kidding. Well bro when you read this someday, I'd like to tell you how lucky you are. Can't even remember what I had for my 11th! Hahaha bitterness put aside, I wanna tell you I love you and Ading and I will always be here for you no matter the biggest fight we've had and will continue to have
On the other hand, I was also having so much fun with Yoko my best friend. She's also my cousin and we bear the same family name. Thus, the "bestcuz" nickname for each other! Kokopops, as others would call her, is one of the dearest ever to me. Though she lives in Batangas and I in Pasig, she's still that one gal I can always NOT talk to and yet we're still close like page31 and 32 of my sketch pad. The bond our hearts make from the beginning of time must have been so strong no distance can shake it apart. Gumaganon! She practically spent her whole life training for volleyball I think she should already be an Olympian or something hahaha. Seriously speaking, Yoko's so sporty it annoyed me sometimes! There were times we couldn't even see each other in the summer just 'cause she was in training. Oh well that's life. Looking back, I know now I'm just very proud of my girl, only 2 years older than I.
So to the two of the people closest to my heart, I love you aaannnnd this entry is for you. It's a wonder how this weekend might not be one spent in expensive shopping escapade, a lovely out-of-town trip or anything I could picture a perfect weekend to be, but spending extra time with you, could pretty much amount to those already.
