Walking On Sunshine

At my young and tender age of 17, I haven't exactly done anything worth writing in the history book page yet.

But while I'm still the little shy college kid that I am right now, it feels good to know that I am able to do something in my own little way --- even if I was only required to do so in the first place. Well, at least I did it with my heart.

I was one of the thousands who ran for a cause! I ran for the Pasig River on 11-20-11 yay!

I'd like to consider 3 challenges my girl friends and I relentlessly endured for this day.

Siyempre 3K lang ang carry namin ^_^
 Yanna and Annj just arrived!
My cutest and kindest college friend, Sarah
Me trying to look hot! Uhm I dunno the guy between me and Sarah ah hahaha
Gracie just arrived!! A lot of people would say you look horrible here. Don't mind them. I think you're adorable.
L-R: Me, Gracie, Yanna, Sarah, Annj
 Red hair ka pala Yanna
What were they laughing about? Hmmm
The run hasn't started and yet Gracie was already sweating like a...a...an athlete! :)) To look for our UNKNOWN cluster (because we weren't oriented properly haha) was challenge #1
 My pretty Annj and Yanna

Since no one wanted to take a photo of me with the Globe! Ajujuju. Kidding! First time mo diyan teh first time? Hahaha
Finally 3k run is over! That was challenge # 2

We got ballers, SABONG PANLABA Champion and a Smart C drink as freebies

Gracie and Yanna were to be fetched by their respective dads. Yanna's dad drove us home. But before that could even happen, we walked 10k (maybe I'm exaggerating) cos it wasn't easy locating their car with all the people and traffic jam that went on. That was, dear reader, challenge # 3. We literally walked on sunshine. Hahaha.
Annj: "Bakit nga ba natin naisipan tumakbo?"
 Gracie my loves!
Just like last year's run, the sun was too glaring for me to tolerate, as will be seen true in pictures. Different people, same old awesome feeling after the fun run.

Sobrang flop pa ng signal ng Globe kaya hindi magkaalaman kung nasan na. :))
Being the totally non-athletic girl that I am, of course it's no surprise that I collapsed after the run. JK!! I was just plain tired and still we had to go on.

We failed to take footage of that crucial moment when we were trying so hard to walk under the sun, looking for Yanna's father. Cos we were simply getting devastated that time. But now, all is well. Thank you again Yanna <3

Annj, Sarah and I took time to eat in KFC before heading home and boy were we famished!!!

Side story: My lovely friend from high school Kat and her best friend Xyra (no pics sorry), both from UST, were also required to run. They live literally next to each others' house --- couldn't they be luckier?! They let me join their car ride (Xy's dad drove us there) so very early in the cold morning of November 20. Thanks again Xy and Kat :D

Oh and here are some pictures from THEIR cams :)
What a day! Bagsak ako eh. And here's my cute nail polish exposed, before I slept all my exhaustion away for several hours.

Thanks for walking on sunshine with me, girlies.

Thanks for reading!!! :)
