Absolutely Unexpected Blasts of Inspiration

Kwento time!!!!

Too rainy Monday with strong winds, gloomy skies and suspended classes (half-yay!) --- basically, this is what today is all about.

Given that, I slept in a little bit longer, chomped up, watched some TV and soon I was in front of this laptop. I went on to have my ever-usual, boring internet surfing routine - e-mails, twitter and facebook. Plus a couple of blog sites I check so often their URLs are stamped in my memory for... I guess forever. Hehe

I was just about to turn this machine off, uncertain of what to do next once I walk away from this area. Maybe sleep again or read on some school notes? Doesn't really matter. Lazy bummer day anyway.

Now here's where the fun part began. It dawned on me that I haven't been making the most out of the blessings the internet has to offer. I've been pretty tough on myself with all that I 'think' I'm studying and couple that with some distressing thoughts I've been having lately. It's consuming me.

So, very randomly indeed, I Googled up blogs of Filipino personalities. I dunno why I did so. Maybe I just wanted to see some new perspectives, some sort of diversion from what I've, sadly, limited myself into. A part of me was needing some breakaway from my current used-to's, which are obviously getting dull. So going back. I wasn't expecting anything really. In fact, I was ready to carry on shutting the computer down. But then, my dear friend, as new "stuff" unfolded itself right before my eyes, with a couple of mouse clicks and a lot of scrolling, I felt alive again - inspired and revived. Hahaha. Not that I've been feeling dead, alright. It's just that, like I said, things were going pretty dull and I needed something more than just a sweet doughnut. And these discoveries are such unexpected blessings talaga.

So there. I've been missing a lot, I thought. Thank goodness I don't have to miss any longer cos I'm so motivated anew! I was reminded of my own dear blog, and I just had to give it some pepping up! :)

So much for my yet another blabbing episode, imma share now blogs responsible for stimulating my rotting thoughts hahaha. I know... I just know you'll be inspired too! All in all, their blogs are an automatic favorite, but I'll be specific with the posts that I really liked the most. They're mainly about self-esteem issues (I think we all tend to battle with that at some point) and positivity-enhancers (just what I need right now) and hmmm, on the whole, thought-provoking entries.
  1. Patty Laurel's untitled brief post on exercise --- although I'm skinny, too skinny actually (ouch), I've been meaning to develop a regular exercise in the mornings too. Cos, well... you know what exercise does to the body. And I want that. I'm just too lazy. Also, Patty Laurel's blog is not just nice to look at, I think it also has such a good substance.
  2. Mich Dulce's What is Your Life Material Goal post --- the little 18-yr-old-girl that is me has lots, and I mean LOTS of wants in life. I acknowledge the fact that even if my family's not downright rich, I have a tendency to spend a fortune (as much as I can) for a super-want. Very honest and inspiring, this post just moved me so. Plus!!!! Mich Dulce's rockin them sexy body, don't you think? The last time I saw her (which is only in TV), she was way plumper. What a nice change. :)
  3. KC Concepcion's Spontaneous Combustion and A-n-o-n-y-m-o-u-s posts --- these posts say it all. I also love "Kookie's" manner of writing. There is something about her blogging that seems to be talking simply and directly at me. Really!
I think I also need to talk to people I haven't been able to talk to, either intentionally or unintentionally. Kookie said it would be good to take the time to compliment someone or talk to some humanoid you haven't had a talk to in a while. That sounds refreshing so I think I'm gonna do just that after this post hits the publish button.

So read on, be inspired by these like I did, stop being so sad or angry, and live the life
