Short yet gripping, this is a definite must-read! I love that there were illustrations too. Ha ha I think it's so cute every time the story-teller defends his poorly-drawn illustrations (which are not poor at all) to the little prince because the grown-ups made him focus on something else other than doing drawings.
Now I'm somewhat questioning my being a grown-up! It has come to my awareness that I shouldn't be so consumed by "matters of consequence" because chances are, I may be too trifled by what I think of as the big things while I unknowingly throw away the littlest details that actually, really do, matter in life. And we don't want that, do we? :) This, and a lot more I learned from the little prince.
